Friday 22 September at 11:00 - "The Camel Trail. Wadebridge to Padstow,with an extension to the coast for those who would like to go a bit further" - An easy cycle along the flat camel trail from Wadebridge to Padstow. Lovely views and an opportunity for some bird spotting. Rick Stein's famous fish and chip restaurant is at the Padstow end of the trail. For those who want to go a bit further and faster there is a good circuit on quiet roads ,with some hills towards the North Coast before lunch in Padstow. There is Bike Hire in Wadebridge, including electric bikes After lunch a leisurely cycle back to Wadebridge.

Tours and Trips
Monday 02 October at 10:15 - "Visit to Devonport Incinerator" - The incinerator has been built to generate energy from waste. The company slogan is "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle". There will be an introductory lecture followed by a tour of the plant including the Tipping Hall where waste is brought in, the Boiler House, and the Exterior to see the air cooled condensers, the filter system and the chimney. The tour lasts a minimum of 2 hours. Transport will be by car share and free parking is available. Tea/coffee provided on arrival. Legs and arms must be covered and sturdy shoes worn. Some safety clothing will be provided.
